The American Tribal Histories Project (AITHP) was a program of the Western Heritage Center from 2003-2009. The AITHP staff recorded and preserved American Indian tribal histories and cultural accounts from an American Indian perspective. Tribal member interviewees shared personal and cultural histories to preserve tribal history, education future generations, and promote better understanding of cultural traditions.
