By collecting, preserving, and sharing stories, we enter into the lives of both ancestor and ourselves. The Western Heritage Center is one of the only museums in Montana building historic interpretation from original research and oral histories. Through this work we create unique hands-on exhibits, timely speaker programs, supplement local school curriculums, and offer a regional archive and collection that is as expansive as Eastern Montana itself. The work that our team does stretches far beyond the walls of our building – from developing curriculum that provides children with a sense of place in the current world turmoil to preserving stories that resonate with both young and old.
