Supporting the Western Heritage Center is good for the economy of our community and business. Each year more than 50,000 individuals and families, from our community, throughout the US and many foreign nations visit the Center to view our collections and participate in our programs. WHC is an integral piece of cultural tourism in the Yellowstone Valley and important to our community’s economic development and redevelopment. Additionally, the constant programming available, coupled with valuable partnerships with area media resources, such as Community 7 Television, touched nearly 200,000 people this past year.
The WHC enhances the quality of life in our community helping to make our community more livable and vibrant. WHC plays an important role in education, especially K-12. The Center helps to redirect at-risk students and improve academic performance – in fact, over 20,000 area students either toured the museum with a docent or utilized one of the many traveling trunks available to local educators. The Center develops two of the most valuable skills a student can acquire: curiosity, the desire to know; and, judgment; the ability to make intelligent, rational and ethical choices when faced with complex alternatives.
There’s never been a better investment for your philanthropic dollar! As you plan your yearly giving, keep in mind that as a qualifying 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, your contributions to the WHC may be tax-deductible.
